With the signing of its third turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) contract of a 50 MWp solar energy project with a consortium of Quadran International of France and TTVN Group of Vietnam, juwi has increased its footprint in Vietnam beyond the 100-MW mark. The cumulative capacities to be installed by juwi until June 2019 in Vietnam now stand at 130 MWp.

This new project is to be constructed in Cat Hiep, Binh Dinh province of Vietnam, approx. 600 kilometers northeast of Ho-Chi-Minh. juwi will be responsible for the construction, design and engineering of the plant as well as the procurement of the components. Once completed, juwi will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the plant at least for the next two years. The plant is expected to add more than 75 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity to Vietnam’s national grid annually.

“For juwi, this project represents a continued commitment with international and Vietnamese project development partners in the exciting emerging market of Vietnam.” said Dr. Valerie Speth, juwi’s Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Region on the occasion of the ground-breaking ceremony of the project on 29th October 2018. The juwi group has been active in APAC since 2010, with over 1 GW of solar projects already delivered or under construction/ planning.
